Here is a simple tip, but definitely one worth thinking about.
If you do this, you will be able to see your progress over time in a meaningful and clear way…
Without having any doubt whatsoever about whether you are improving or not.
Here it is…
“Measure your progress”
If you can find a way to measure your progress, you will improve.
Here are a few examples of how you can do this:
- Take a chord and see how many times you can play it cleanly in a row with no buzzing.
- See how many times you can change between two chords in two minutes…
- Count how many times you can play a scale consecutively, with zero errors.
- See how many bars of a song you can play to a high standard with no mistakes.
The world is your oyster here.
You definitely will have to think about what it is you most want to improve right now and think about how you can measure it.
…Because remember, what gets measured, gets improved.
