Here is your weekly 10-second tip.

It is one that will help you to stop plucking the wrong strings.

Some guitarists pluck a note, and their picking hand floats away from the strings about 6-12 inches!

This is bad because, the further your picking hand moves away from the strings, the more likely you are to pluck a wrong string.

Instead, use:

The “Magnetic hand”

Imagine your picking hand and the strings are magnetic…

…And that the strings are using an invisible force to keep your picking hand close to them.

It is a simple tip, but as is often the case, it is one I rarely ever hear others mention.

Try it.

Keep your picking hand close to the strings after plucking and don’t let it float too far away from the strings!

Get your magnetic hand going and have a great Friday!
