Here is another weekly 10-second tip.

Sing what you play

If you ever want to train and improve your ear, try this…

Play a riff or melody you know on guitar and then sing it.

Sing or hum along out loud and make your voice match the pitch of the melody exactly.

Doing this will help you train your ear, and this is often much better than using random apps.

Why?

…Because to sing in tune you must have a good ear and getting better at this will improve your ear.

Any little riff or melody will do here.

Riffs such as “Louie, Louie”, “La Bamba”, “Beat It”, and even the James Bond theme will work for this (plus 1000s of other catchy tunes).
