Here is another 10-second tip for you to enjoy…
…And it’s all to do with barre chords.
One of the big problems with barre chords is that most people have a very rigid way of practising them.
One thing they do is place the barre finger on first…
Then they try to get the barre notes clear and finally, after lots of painstaking trial and error…
…They add their other, non-barre playing fingers on last.
Big mistake.
Let me ask when the last time was you tried a barre chord and decided to do the following…
Place the barre finger on last
Yes, this is such a simple tip.
…But placing the non-barre playing fingers on first…
Getting these fingers in position, getting the notes all clear and…
…THEN at the very last step, adding the barre finger to the fretboard can really help.
There are lots of reasons why but if your finger, hand, or arm aches when you try playing barre chords, or your face turns bright red due to the sheer force you are using (I’ve seen this happen – not to you but to others!)…
…Try putting the barre finger on last, at least occasionally. It can help get your fingers in a better position with far less brute force.
Of course, that is just one very simple tip, but if you want a step-by-step course teaching you every step of the way with barre chords, then look at this…
