5-song award

I have an exciting idea I want to share with you.

It’s a brand-new idea that will help to motivate you possibly more than ever before.

Here’s a warning though…

I’ve not worked out the details yet…

…But this is an exciting rabbit hole that may change your guitar experience forever…

Bold statement I know.

…But you know how I often talk about the 5-song challenge?

In case you’ve not heard me talk about it, I often say …

Every beginner should have the first big goal of learning 5 songs (no matter what the songs are).

It’s a great first goal for many reasons which I’ve mentioned before…

…But what about if we take this advice a step further?

That is, once you achieve this goal, we certify you in some way and make it official.

I’m always thinking about different ways to get you to achieve more and have more fun on the guitar.

I know learning the guitar can be a lonely experience.

…But it’s time you have your successes celebrated in a community of people rooting for you.

Sure, this happens already inside my membership area, and Facebook group, but let’s go further.

It’s fun to celebrate when you achieve something big, but for hobbyist guitar players who mostly just want to play for themselves, this probably doesn’t happen that much.

I mean, some people play gigs, some people do their grades, but for most of you, that’s not what you want.

This, then, will be a really powerful way of celebrating your successes in a way that suits you.

Having high levels of motivation and rewards when you do well can equal dynamite levels of success and joy!

So, coming soon might be the “5-Song Award” Club…

It may be called that, or I may give it a snappier name.

I might well put up an honours board on my site, and maybe even send out some sort of gift/trophy to those who achieve it.

This is a big achievement after all…

Anyway, do hit reply and let me know if this idea excites you. It has me excited, but I want to make doubly sure you want this before pursuing this idea.

Either way, do get working on your first five songs…

…And if you’ve already learnt five, then get perfecting them, so they sound magical…

P.S. Remember, when learning songs, only learn one at a time… 5 songs is a big goal, but keep chipping away, you’ll get there.
