In the chaotic hustle and bustle of the holiday season, you may often feel like you’re Santa’s overworked head elf.

I can only imagine the number of guitars they’ve made up at the North Pole this year!

Well, today and the last few days might feel like a blur of jingling bells…

…last-minute gift-wrapping where your fingers feel sorer than playing 1000 barre chords on a badly set up guitar.

…And the constant ticking of the clock (rather than the metronome) to get the Christmas dinner prepared.

Well, during this holiday chaos, it’s always wise to have a little time for yourself and relax with the guitar.

…And if time is short but you want some respite, then you might like my new course of 100 Reels.

This is a short little “course” of the best 100 video reels I’ve released in 2023.

These are 100 mini-lessons (each around a minute long) where I share a technique, motivation, or mini-lesson.

I’ve loved creating these reels, and if you’ve seen my social media accounts, you may have come across some of them.

Earlier this year, I decided to release one new video reel per day for the whole year.

Did I succeed?

Almost.

Some days I didn’t post any, but most days I did.

Sometimes I couldn’t post the videos to certain social media channels (for instance, YouTube “Shorts” has a 1-minute cut-off point).

But I almost succeeded in my goal.

When I started in the summer, I created a brand-new Instagram channel, and at first, there weren’t many views (which, of course, is natural).

In fact, some of the early reels got about 150 views (which was still good, considering I literally had three followers on there then!)

…But the more recent video reels have been getting many more views, as much as 12,000 views on Instagram alone.

That’s nothing ground-breaking, but it shows they are going in the right direction even though I don’t advertise the social media account and I barely promote them apart from mentioning them to you on my email list occasionally).

Anyway, there is a guitar lesson here.

Stick with it.

Just like playing guitar at first, for a moment, I was wondering if it was worth it to keep doing the reels.

…But very much like playing guitar, traction starts to build up.

If the channels keep building up, next year should see them take off to another level…

Just like I hope your guitar playing does.

If you ever doubt yourself, stick with it.

You will get traction.

Anyway, back to the present.

If you find yourself short on time this Christmas, you may want to check out the new mini-course.

Some reels have been really popular, and others are hidden gems.

You can check out the video reels scattered around on my main social media channels HERE.

But if you want the best 100 in one place, plus the TAB and notation for the reels where necessary, then check this out.

…Grab a glass of eggnog and hit ‘play’ for some quick and inspiring guitar-playing fun.

It’s on sale for a few more hours until 4 pm UK time (8 am Pacific Time).

If you click the link and it says something like the ‘product is not available’, it’s too late.

Anyway, I want to wish you a superb and wonderful Merry Christmas.

May your holidays be filled with harmonious guitar-playing interludes…
