The other day, I said I was going to make a comeback on YouTube.

Well, now I’m back.

I’ve wanted to start doing full-length YouTube videos for some time…

…But I also wanted to make sure the time was right.

Now I’m super excited to release the first full-length video I’ve posted on there in almost four years.

The lesson is all about… How to fingerpick BEAUTIFUL music on your guitar

Yes, it’s been four years since I’ve been really active on there.

That is crazy.

Back then we were in the middle of a global pandemic, Archie hadn’t started school yet, and many of you reading this might not have even been playing guitar.

Well, even if you were playing four years ago or not…

It’s nice to look back a little bit at how far we’ve come – on the guitar and in life.

This first video ties in nicely with the Fingerstyle 101 course I have been promoting throughout the week.

That’s why I chose this specific lesson.

If you have Fingerstyle 101, you can see this video as a bonus lesson.

If you don’t have it, well, it’s still a fun lesson for sure.

In this new lesson, we take the “Outwards” pattern (which is pattern #2 from Fingerstyle 101).

I’ve taken that pattern and given you three examples of what you can do with it.

This is a wonderful little picking pattern that I get a lot of pleasure from – even though it’s just four notes long.

The pattern really highlights just how much fun you can have playing simple things on the guitar.

Hopefully, you will find some inspiration to create your own ideas with that lesson.

Like I mentioned the other day, I want these new YouTube videos to “tie in” with all my other lessons where possible.

Some of the upcoming lessons will be great reminders of the things I mention in these emails too (but you’ll get them in video form, highlighting the things I talk about).

You can check out the video below and enjoy:

Have a great Friday

P.S. I’d love it if you could leave a comment on the YouTube video letting me know your thoughts on the lesson and how it helped.

I hope you liked the new visual style too – it’s something a little different.
